SUMMARY:Fall Fest 5K in honor of Luke Morin
DESCRIPTION:The 2020 Fall Fest 5K is a virtual run/walk/ride in honor of Luke Wyatt Morin.  Luke was an active\, articulate\, and loving child.  He was always quick to offer hugs and snuggles.  He adored his big sister\, Phebe\, and loved playing with his Hot Wheels cars and tracks for hours on end while listening to his favorite Beatles music. \nAfter symptoms that appeared suddenly\, Luke was diagnosed with an inoperable and aggressive brain tumor called DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).  Seventeen days later\, Luke left this world way too soon; he was 5 years old. \nThe young and innocent who fall prey to DIPG are given the same treatment options as were offered over 50 years ago. Funding research is imperative to finding better treatment. There is still no effective treatment for DIPG and no chance of survival.  Government funding is not adequate for pediatric cancer research and many of the fundraising efforts fall on bereaved families\, private foundations\, and medical professionals who should be in the research lab or with their patients. \nAll proceeds from this event will go to the DIPG research team at Children’s Hospital Colorado where this dedicated group is advancing treatments and cures for DIPG and needs funding.  With proper resources\, their groundbreaking work will bring hope into the lives of children and families affected by this horrible disease. \nThank you for your support!

SUMMARY:Race Against Kids' Cancer
DESCRIPTION:The Race Against Kids’ Cancer is in its 10th year of partnership between Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing and The Morgan Adams Foundation\, which has raised over $1\,200\,000 for pediatric cancer research! RMVR wanted to do something for its community and found a natural partner in MAF\, an organization that has long had other car-centric events and is well known in the Rocky Mountain region’s auto enthusiast community. The Race Against Kids’ Cancer benefits The Morgan Adams Foundation\, an organization that raises money and awareness on behalf of children with cancer. Working with leading physicians and researchers\, The Morgan Adams Foundation funds pediatric cancer research and therapies that will improve the survival rates and reduce the devastating side effects cancer treatments have on kids’ and young adults. RMVR looks forward to hosting the RAKC event each year. This particular race has been the RMVR’s largest race of the year and is currently the most exciting. You don’t have to be a race car driver to see what all the racing fun is about! The Race Against Kids’ Cancer has something for every spectator. \nTicket to Ride: During lunchtime\, race spectators can purchase a ticket to ride on the track with a qualified car & driver to see what it’s like to be out there on the track at high speed. There’s no bigger thrill for the dollar than these rides and you’ll know that the donation you made for this ride will go to help fund pediatric oncology research\, It’s a win/win! \nSo you can come for the racing; come for the lunch rides; come for the Saturday evening party or the band; come for the excitement and friends you’ll see and make there\, but be sure to come on August 1-2\, 2020! You’ll be glad you did and even happier to know that you’re helping sick kids and their families find some hope. This is a free event.

SUMMARY:artma
DESCRIPTION:artma is a unique\, funky\, fabulous art auction and fund-raising extravaganza like no other and is embraced by those that believe deeply in the healing power of art. Started in 2001\, artma is a biennial (once every 2 years) auction of art\, generously donated by local\, regional\, and nationally recognized artists. At each highly anticipated event\, artma hosts over 1\,000 guests and sells over 200 pieces of art to benefit the Morgan Adams Foundation. \nartma was created to support doctors and researchers who are tirelessly searching for a cure to pediatric cancer. The Morgan Adams Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life and survival rates for children\, teens\, and young adults diagnosed with cancer. \nartma was created in loving memory of Morgan Adams\, who passed away in November of 1998 at the age of 6 just 11 months after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor. artma is one way that MAF seeks to increase funding resources\, thereby giving greater support to pediatric oncology research efforts.
